We have an update on our beach season.  We have clearance to open up on Monday, June 15th!!  This is only one week of delay which is fantastic.  I'll need a few days to get all the details and registrations updated.  When registrations are ready, please get registered as soon as possible so I can get the courts staffed appropriately.  

Excited to see our returning players and meet our new players on June 15th.  7 weeks will still give lots of opportunities for growth in the game this summer.  Tans will be good too!

Good morning Surface Vballers and families.  I've been waiting to have the most updated information as I can for you regarding our situation for our 2020 season at Drkulas.  

• We will not be able to start as originally planned on Monday, June 8th.
• Players signed up for "Early Session" can be folded into "Late Session" tentatively scheduled to start on Monday, July 6th.  
• Drkulas follows a different set of rules by the state for the restaurant industry.  Although you see restaurants beginning to open up and some schools and other volleyball clubs offering private lessons/small group training, we are required to follow what Drkulas tells us we can do.
• Our plan is to open on Monday, July 6th and offer a strong, four week program for our returning and new players.  
• In the next couple of weeks things will be changing and we will be making moves and updates when necessary.
• Currently all our registrations are closed but will open them up when it looks like it makes sense.

• We may split Girls on Saturday, May 30th, and Boys on Sunday, May 31st if we get enough interest
• 4 courts will be available for the tournament
• 2 courts available for the Girls division and 2 courts available for the Boys division
• One court each for Girl's 14's and 16's
• One court each for Boy's 16's and 18's
• First come first served
• Registration/check in for all players promptly at 8:00 am. Player meeting at 8:15 with first serve scheduled for 8:30 am.  
• Pool/Bracket Formats

Depending on the number of teams registered per age division will determine the pool play/bracket for the players.

5 team pools will be considered a "Gold Pool." Gold Pool teams will have no bracket and will be a best of 3 match. First two sets to 21 and final set to 15 if necessary.

4 team pools will have pool play followed by a Silver and Gold "bracket." 1st and 2nd Place teams will play for the Championship and 3rd and 4th will play for Consolation Champions. The matches will be best of 3. Two sets to 21 and third set to 15 if necessary.

** All items listed in the policies and procedures document will not apply to the "Back to the Beach" event. However, the rules, scoring, etc will be the same. We will cover this as well at the player/parent meeting scheduled for 8:15 am.
